A general reminder - increasingly our courses give you opportunities to create content that would be very easy for you to save onto a USB memory stick. If you have one, please remember to bring it along to your next course.

Graftas Winners
Thank you to all of the schools, pupils (and their teachers) who took part in this year's Graftas, the effort and care was obvious from the number and quality of the entries. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing them all and struggled to award the prizes, but award them we have:
There were also a number of 'commended' entries (full details to be found on our website). We are hoping to get prizes and certificates out to schools before the end of term!
Newsletter Update
A reminder that from September newsletters will be automatically posted to all school's ICTC email accounts as well as to the normal OCN ICT Newsletter conference. Also keep an eye open for newsletter 300 - there might be something special coming!
Evesham Technology LFT Update
Evesham Technology's 'Laptops For Teachers' offer has closed as of Monday.
eLC Reminder
Do you still have eLC money left to spend? If so please be aware that last year's allocation must be spent by the end of August. We can get you some special deals on many software packages, contact Christine Ruane on 01865 428034 for more details. Please be aware that any orders you plan to make though the ICT team must be made before the end of term.
Caching Servers
A reminder that you need to leave your caching server on and running throughout the Summer holidays so that it can continue to be updated by ICT Services who will be accessing it online. (It also means you won't forget to switch it back on when you return!) If you really would like it shut down please contact the ICT Service Desk (0845 052 1000) and they will arrange for your cache to be remotely shut down for you.
CLEO Communicate 2007
The Museums and Collections from Cumbria and Lancashire who are involved in the CLEO Video Conferencing Project will be broadcasting over the internet on Tuesday 17th July 2007. They will link to local schools via VC and demonstrate the many sessions which cover topics including Romans, Toys, Victorian Working Life, World War II, Britain Since 1948, Tudors and English Literature. National Providers of Video Conferencing sessions such as the Natural History Museum in London will also be giving demonstrations. CLEO Video Conferencing Project sessions are provided free of charge to all schools and can be booked via the CLEO website.
It is worth knowing that you do NOT need videoconferencing equipment to view this, just Media Player.

OCR Nationals
Well done to Wheatley Park who have passed their first OCR Nationals moderation
with a pass rate of 98.4% including many students who were predicted below a
grade 'C'. HoD, Ian Shipton says that the students, who 'worked their socks
off' got the grades they well deserved.
