GENERAL

Courses

Due to unprecedented demand for our OCN Admin Course we are running an additional course on Wednesday 6th June from 13.30 - 15.00. There are a number of places still available and the course is free!!

Termly Area ICT Meetings

Reminder to all that the termly ICT meetings will take place on the following dates in different areas. The meetings are free and open to all staff.

Tesco Vouchers

We have compiled a list of recommendations for you to consider if you are looking for inspiration when trying to spend your Tesco vouchers - please see the attached file.

We organised a simple competition to win the Cricket Road stash of vouchers (more than 900) and the lucky winning school will be announced next week!

Primary ICT Conference - June 20th 2007

Graham Garner, the new Co-ordinating Adviser for ICT, will be introducing himself to everyone who can attend the conference. Don't forget to book your place now. Espresso Latest Updates

There are additions to the Foundation Stage Photo books:

There are two more photo books (numbers 5 and 6 from a collection of ten) that look at different colours and objects and living things associated with them.

This set of photo books will add to the Creative development area by supporting teachers and children as they begin to differentiate and discuss colours.

There is a new KS2 Science Module Investigating change:

This module has been developed in cooperation with Stoke LA and supports teachers and learners in working towards objectives selected from QCA Science units 5D (Changing state) and 6D (Reversible and irreversible change). It uses the pottery industry as a case study and clay in different states to illustrate changes of state and how they can be utilised.

Clicker 5 offer

Several schools have recently expressed an interest in Clicker 5 and we have now negotiated a 10% discount for schools who order though us. If you are interested in ordering Clicker 5 for your school please contact Christine Ruane for further details on 01865 428034.
