Tesco Voucher Competition
The members of the ICT Advisory Team have been busy collecting Tesco Computers for Schools vouchers and once again will be sponsoring a competition, the prize for which will be our entire stack of vouchers. To enter the competition send a digital photograph which represents "Spring in our School" to competitions@sds.theocn.net by Friday 18 May. Please ensure that your digital photograph has the name of your school either in its title or in the e-mail address used to submit it.

Videoconference Opportunity
A beginners guide to Videoconferencing course is running for a half day on Wednesday 4th July. Part of the session will link with the national Maritime Museum and the session will be what has the sea got to do with me? In this video conference session, pupils will discover the ways in which the sea is important to everyone living on Planet Earth. The session explores: resource issues, fossil fuels and renewable energy resources, sustainability and its implications, and global citizenship. This will be suitable for an upper KS2 class and could link with any environmental project. Crocodile Technology 3D
Crocodile Clips have launched a new online training course for Crocodile Technology
3D, which is an easy to use simulator that lets you create, prototype and test
systems that combine electronics, programmable PIC chips and mechanisms, before
simulating the PCB layout in 3D. The training course has been designed to help
teachers use Crocodile Technology 3D more effectively in lessons and is freely
