Free RM Workstations
Free to a good home - six RM workstations which have been serving us well on our Connect 3 network for the past three years. These have been replaced on our network as part of our rolling, three year programme but are perfectly serviceable if anyone would like a few additional stations on their CC3 network. They are fairly standard, three year old specification - P4 1.8Ghz, 512 RAM and 20Gb hard disks. Free to the first applicant - "buyer" to collect from Cricket Road. The only cost to the school would be the additional network and application licenses (if they are to be added to a CC3 network).
Laptops for Teachers
Several schools have enquired about a central arrangement for the purchase of laptops for teachers this year. A letter will be coming into schools in the next few days which will outline an opportunity for schools to provide an indication of the number of laptops they might wish to purchase over the coming year. We will collate this information and use it to secure a discount with Evesham who have provided laptops for teachers for the past few years. The specification for the laptops is listed below and will include the pre-installation and configuration of Sophos, Smart Notebook and First Class Client. The discount we are able to achieve will depend ultimately on the number of laptops it is anticipated schools might wish to purchase but the price is likely to be in the £565 price range - the final, discounted price will be available to schools before they commit to any orders.
