Video Conferencing
There will be some leaflets coming out to schools which include information about the JANET video conferencing service and also educational content providers. These leaflets are very handy to refer to and give some ideas for how you could begin to introduce video conferencing into your school.
If you would like support with Video Conferencing in your school you can contact Anna Foreman, ICT Team, Cricket Road 01865 428034 or anna.foreman@oxfordshire.gov.uk to arrange a Traded Service.
Free OCN Administrator Training
We shall be running a free training session for OCN Administrators in schools on Thursday 18 January from 1.30 - 3.00 in the ICT Training Suite at the Cricket Road Centre. It is important that every school has an OCN Administrator who can create, delete and maintain OCN accounts for staff, pupils and governors. Every school needs to have an up-to-date OCN directory so that staff, pupils and governors can access their OCN e-mail, the OCN conferences and Digitalbrain, the Learning Platform. If your school does not have an OCN Administrator, or if they feel in need of a little "refresher" on the tasks which need to be carried out, please ask them to contact Christine Ruane at the ICT Centre to book a place. Christine can be contacted by phone (01865-428034), by fax (01865-428030) or by e-mail (christine.ruane@oxfordshire.gov.uk).
There will be another free OCN Administrator Training session on Wednesday 7 March 2007 from 1.30 - 3.00. If any colleague would like to book a place on that session please contact Christine as above.
