Under Oxfordshire's successful bid for Standards Fund money, a commitment to the Phase 1 schools was made to train all Key Stage 1 teachers to Level 3 of the National Curriculum, and all Key Stage 2 teachers to Level 5.

The training programme, which started on January 18th, aims to meet this commitment and in addition give all those teachers basic Internet skills. As far as possible, we aim to involve Learning Support Assistants in the training as well.

Course booking - daytime courses (9.30 a.m. - 11 a.m. or 12 noon)

These courses are held at the Wheatley ICT Centre. Basic skills courses are aimed at LSAs, administrative staff and teachers able to attend courses during the working day, and specialist courses are for anyone with responsibility for ICT infrastructure in a school.

Course booking - twilight courses (4.00 p.m. - 5.30 p.m.)

These courses are held in local schools and are principally for teachers and LSAs for whom daytime training is impractical.
