HELP - Word 97 files

These files will be opened by Word 97 or later (including First Word for Windows). If you do not have Word 97 or First Word, you will need to download the Adobe Acrobat file instead (click on your browser's Back button).

Which computer system are you using?

RM Primary Network

When you click on DOWNLOAD WORD 97 FILE or DOWNLOAD EXAMPLE FILE, the document will load into Internet Explorer. From the File menu select Save as file.

If necessary, browse to suitable folder (e.g. N:\My Work) and then click on OK in the dialog box.

You will then be able to open the file in Word in the usual way.

RM SchoolShare (Window Box 8)

If you are using Netscape you will probably be asked if you want to save the file, with a message like this:

Make sure the Save it to disk button is checked, then click OK. If necessary, browse to suitable folder (e.g. C:\My Documents) and then click on OK in the dialog box.

You will then be able to open the file in Word in the usual way.
